Elise Maheu has progressed through senior leadership roles in government affairs across Canada, the United States—at both the state and federal levels—and globally, including most recently leading global government affairs for trade and enterprise risk.
She previously led government affairs across the United States and Canada for a multinational corporation, overseeing strategy and execution across all jurisdictions, including outreach, advocacy, policy monitoring, and issues management, with teams based in both countries. She also brings senior leadership experience in business management and global supply chains, including across European, Middle Eastern, and African markets. Elise was consistently recognized as one of Canada’s top lobbyists by The Hill Times from 2021 to 2025, reflecting sustained leadership and influence in public policy.
Elise brings significant governance experience and has served as National Chair of the Board of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, in addition to holding roles on advisory boards and industry associations. She studied at the University of Hasselt in Belgium (Master in Transport and Logistics) and holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Montreal University (HEC). She is a Chartered Director.
