AmCham Canada in partnership with AmCham West and AmCham Pacific facilitated engagement with industry and government leaders in a series of roundtables held in Calgary and Vancouver on July 6th and July 9th.
The Calgary sessions featured two roundtables, both of which were attended by U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra. The first addressed energy security, with participation from Alberta Energy Minister Brian Jean, leading oil and gas and critical minerals companies, underscoring the strategic role Western Canada plays in strengthening North American energy resilience. The second Calgary roundtable focused on securing the Western Canada-United States defense supply chain, highlighting the importance of cross-border collaboration in an increasingly complex global security environment. We extend our gratitude to the Honorable Rona Ambrose for serving as moderator, and to TD Securities for their sponsorship and support.
On July 9, the AmCham Pacific Chapter hosted U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra for a roundtable luncheon at the Vancouver Club to discuss the U.S. Canada economic relationship. The U.S. Consul General in Vancouver, Shawn Crowley introduced the Ambassador who gave opening remarks before taking questions from the attendees. The attendees represented 24 companies doing business in the U.S. and Canada.
Thank you to both AmCham West and AmCham Pacific for your partnership on these amazing events. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the CEOs and senior leaders who contributed their time and insights
