Government of Canada rescinds the Digital Services Tax

We welcome the Government of Canada’s decision to rescind the Digital Services Tax.

This is a constructive decision that allows both countries to focus on strengthening their economic partnership. Businesses on both sides of the border rely on policies that support certainty, collaboration, and long-term growth.

We commend the Canadian government for choosing a path that prioritizes dialogue and progress. The American Chamber of Commerce in Canada remains committed to working with our partners to deepen the Canada–United States relationship in the weeks and months ahead.
