Taylor Briggs

Principal, Public Policy, Canada, AWS

Taylor Briggs is a government relations and policy professional with over 15 years of experience spanning government and industry. Since joining Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020, he has led AWS's public policy engagement across provincial governments in Canada. In this role, he collaborates closely with policymakers and stakeholders to advance digital adoption and AI initiatives, while also focusing on data center development and energy policy.

Prior to AWS, Briggs served as Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy with the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada. His earlier career includes roles as Government Affairs Advisor at Port Metro Vancouver and senior policy advisor to the Government of British Columbia, where he contributed to key portfolios including the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure.

Briggs is an active leader in industry organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for both the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Greater Toronto Area chapter and the Canadian Coalition for Digital Infrastructure (CCDI). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
