Bradley Harker

Brad Harker is the Founder and President of AxiaPonte Advisory Inc., a boutique commercial diplomacy and cross-border advisory firm that helps U.S. and Canadian companies navigate trade, investment, and market growth across the border, and supports foreign firms establishing and scaling operations in the United States.

Brad brings 26 years as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Commercial Service, retiring in 2026 as Principal Commercial Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto. His career spanned seven postings across Asia, Europe, and North America, including Beijing, Hong Kong, Osaka, Belgrade, and Athens. Over that career he helped U.S. companies secure more than $1 billion in contracts abroad, advocated for Defense Production Act financing that brought over $100 million in U.S. Department of Defense awards to North American mining and mineral processing firms, and led SelectUSA investment initiatives supporting Canadian corporate expansion into the United States.

Today his practice centers on U.S. federal financing (SOW, DFC, EXIM, USTDA, and the DOE Loan Programs Office), critical minerals supply chains, and Canada-U.S. commercial strategy. He is also the creator of TaxTrax, an iOS app that automatically tracks the days a traveler spends in each country and state to manage tax residency thresholds and cross-border compliance, a tool born directly from the realities of an internationally mobile career.
He holds an MBA from the College of William and Mary and and is FSI-certified fluent in Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Greek. Outside of work, Brad is an avid sailor and skier with deep ties to the Western United States.
