Daniel Fortin

Daniel’s extensive hospitality career spans more than 25 years and includes various positions in the Food & Beverage, Banquet/Convention and Sales/Marketing departments. Daniel worked with renowned companies such as Delta Hotels & Resorts, Ritz Carlton, Sheraton Hotels & various independent hotels. During that time, he received the Top Leader Award from Ritz-Carlton. 

He was involved in many great events such as MPI WEC 2007, World FINA aquatic games, Millenium Conference, US Presidential visits to Canada and more. 

In 2008, Daniel started his own Event Planning company, DNL Events & Logistics, specializing in Conferences, Sales Meetings, Incentives, Corporate Events, Product Launches and also providing Logistic Services for Planners & Industry Suppliers. Daniel has been a very respected leader in the Industry and most recently, he was very honored to receive the prestigious award for 2014 Planner of the Year ● MPI Montreal Québec. 

Daniel has been an active member of the Montreal-Quebec Chapter of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) for 12 years, holding positions such as Past President (2012-Present), President (2009-2012), President Elect (2008-2009) and Vice-President of membership (2007-2008). He was also on the 2010-2012 MPI Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Most recently, he has been elected on the MPI International 2012-13 Chapter Advisory Council.
