Cascades established itself in the United States in 1983, in order to be closer to several major markets, to improve its productivity and to optimize its customer service. The company continued to expand through acquisitions and the development of new site. Come network with Cascades and hear their experience.

Speakers 

Suzanne Blanchet,  ICD.D, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development, Cascades
Suzanne Blanchet holds a degree in accounting from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. She has been with Cascades for over 30 years, and holds the position of Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development since September 2014. From 1997 to 2014, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of Cascades Tissue Group and the only female president in Canada's paper industry. Suzanne Blanchet has made major contributions to the growth of Cascades. An award-winning manager, she is well-known for her solid commitment to sustainable development. Ms. Blanchet's managerial talents and working knowledge of production have been instrumental in many significant projects, leading to the Group's expansion within Canada and multiple acquisitions in the United States. In 2013, the Tissue Group is the fourth largest in North America with over 2,000 employees, in the retail, commercial and industrial sectors.

A woman of influence, Ms. Blanchet sits on various boards of directors, including Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ), RONA Inc., Food and Consumer Products of Canada (FCPC) and the Conseil de la transformation agroalimentaire et consommation. For all her achievements, the Université du Québec en Outaouais has awarded her an honorary doctorate in 2015.

Ms. Blanchet has a strong commitment to the community, and participates in Centraide's fund raising campaigns within the industrial sector.
 

Marc Beauchamp, Vice President and Partner, CAI Global
Mr. Beauchamp brings an in-depth knowledge of the corporate mandate process and hands-on experience in working with both the private and public sector relating to investment project strategies.
Mr. Beauchamp’s education from Hautes Études Commerciales (H.E.C.) as well as his area of specialization in Foreign Direct Investment at ENAP, the Public Administration University in Montreal, provided him with an excellent background for joining the CAI Global Group in 2005. Mr. Beauchamp has been responsible for numerous North American site selection mandates for clients such as Winpak, Rio Tinto Alcan, Norampac, Cascades, to name a few.

In addition, Mr. Beauchamp oversees the production of all internal consulting services including the production of private and public sector business plans such as SC Johnson, Camfil Farr, Bridgestone, Cryocath, and the Cities of Drummondville, Bromont, Cowansville, and Laval as a sampling. Over the years, Mr. Beauchamp has developed a keen expertise in helping subsidiaries attract or retain corporate mandates from head offices of multinationals. Today, as a Partner at CAI and responsible for the consulting team, Mr. Beauchamp is involved in the success of numerous mandates from a wide range of industries and public sector clients.
