AmCham to Host National Roundtable Meeting on Canada’s Defence Procurement Strategy
When: Wednesday, April 23, 2014 - 00:00 - Wednesday, April 23, 2014 - 00:00

The American Chamber of Commerce in Canada (AmCham Canada), in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, will host a Roundtable meeting on Canada’s Defence Procurement Strategy on April 23, 2014, at the Rideau Club in Ottawa. This event is part of the AmCham’s series of “Canada-U.S. National Policy Forums” which bring together senior policy makers and government officials from both the United States and Canada and representatives of major U.S.-owned companies operating in Canada.

The roundtable will share insights into Canada’s recently announced Defence Procurement Strategy and will seek to identify challenges, risks and opportunities relating to the ability of U.S. defence firms to effectively compete in Canada. The findings will be communicated to officials within the Canadian government (which continues to seek the views of industry on the DPS) and to U.S. government agencies within the Commerce and State Departments and will be formalized as part of AmCham’s Defence & Security Policy.

Participation in the Roundtable is by invitation only and limited to 40 senior-level government and private sector participants. For more information contact Rick Tachuk (), Chair, AmCham Canada National Policy Committee.
