The AmCham Atlantic Canada Chapter recently hosted a 3 day visit from AmCham Canada President Robert Bathgate. During the trip, Robert met with Chair David Gough and the Atlantic Chapter's sales team from Canadian Business Trade Partners, as the Chapter prepares for its focused membership recruitment program in September, and puts the finishing touches on its Fall program of US oriented events. Discussions also took place with a regional Atlantic business organization that will result in a strategic partnership relationship announcement this September.
Robert had the opportunity to meet with Chapter members who are conducting significant business in the US and to participate in the planning for AmCham Atlantic’s upcoming 2009 North American east coast energy summit. The visit concluded with Robert joining Chair David, Director Peter Gildart and many other Atlantic Chapter members at the July 4th celebrations at HMC Dockyard onboard the USS Winston Churchill with US Consul General Harold Foster and his staff. Robert and David also had the pleasure to meet Congresswoman Kaptur from Ohio who also attended the celebrations as a guest on an AmCham Atlantic member company.
