Special CME Working Luncheon on US Trade Issues
July 10 2009, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

We are pleased to be cooperating with CME-NS in promoting next week’s Special Session on US Trade issues.

Next Friday, July 10th, CME's key representative in Washington will be visiting the Halifax area. Birgit Matthiesen has kindly offered to speak to a CME and friends audience in her role as CME’s Special Advisor to the CME President on US Government Relations. Ms. Matthiesen has her ‘ear to the ground’ on such key topics as:

· The U.S. energy bill
· The impact of the current 'Buy America' platform
· Border security compliance
· US business/regulatory environment

CME hopes that you will consider attending this luncheon. Although on short notice, it does offer a unique and timely opportunity to hear first hand what is happening in Washington vis-à-vis our local manufacturing and industry issues.
